Astrid Mueller, M.D., Ph.D.

Astrid Mueller, M.D., Ph.D. Astrid Mueller, M.D., Ph.D., is a research scientist at the Neuropsychiatric Research Institute, and the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg, Germany, as well. She is involved in impulse control disorders research, eating disorders and obesity research. Primarily, she is interested in behavioral addictions particularly compulsive buying disorder, and compulsive hoarding. Dr. Mueller received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Russian State Medical University, Medico-Biological-Faculty, Moscow, Russia, and University of  Dresden, Germany, and her Doctor of Philosophy degree in in Psychology from University  of Bamberg, Germany.
